Shoulda Known Better: Red Hulk

So, the Hulk (Bruce Banner) is in prison, and there's a new Red Hulk going around kickin' ass. I was curious. I picked up the first trade paperback. I paid the price. Symptoms of bad writing:
  • Having your new villain kill off a 40-year-old character, just to show how badass he is. Lame.
  • Introducing a new SHIELD helicarrier and crashing it in the same issue. Oh, I can remember when crashing a helicarrier meant something, besides, "Must be Wednesday."
  • The Red Hulk decks the Watcher. Yeah, right. The Watcher's a frickin' cosmic being, strength and alleged badassery aren't sufficient to lay a hand on him.
  • And the rest of the first six issues are just Red Hulk fights A-Bomb. Red Hulk fights Thor. Red Hulk fights Green Hulk. Red Hulk fights Thor again. Red Hulk fights Green Hulk again. Boring.
So: Not recommended.

Spider-Man has relieve at least two cosmic-powered heralds of Galactus of their accessories, and they are intended to look for trouble. Meanwhile, ISTR an issue or three of QUASAR where it was established that Watchers are occasionally involved in physical scuffles if they can't (or won't) send the aggressor away somewhere, like they usually do. Did the Red Hulk ambush him in his big-head form?
